He was born on 23rd November 1935 in Ohrid, where he attended primary school and the “Clement of Ohrid” Secondary General School.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the “Cyril and Methodius” University in Skopje in September 1959, with an average grade of 8.00 (the maximum grade being 10). During his studies, he received scholarships from the Office of the Federal Public Prosecutor of the SFRY and the Office of the Republic Public Prosecutor.
He passed the bar examination in September 1963.
After the graduation, he entered into employment with the Municipal Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ohrid, where he worked as Basic Public Prosecutor until 1974.
From 1974 to 1984 he worked as a District Public Prosecutor in Skopje; 1998 he was appointed Public Prosecutor of Macedonia.
In 1980 he was elected member of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia and Minister of Interior of the Republic of Macedonia.
In January 1992 he was registered in the Directory of Attorneys at Law of the Bar Association of the Republic of Macedonia, and founded the TRPENOSKI Law office, together with his daughter Natasha Trpenoska – Trenchevska.
Following the Approval by the Bar Association of the Republic of Macedonia from 17th November 2005, together with Natasha Trpenoska Trenchevska and Dejvi Davidovski, Attorneys at Law, he founded the TRPENOSKI Law Firm, as and with the status of a special legal entity, in accordance with the Attorney’s Law.
In 1998 he was appointed by the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia member of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia Inquiry Commission for Human Rights, for the period 1998 to 2002.
From 1983 to 1992, he presided with the Association of Criminal Law and Criminology.
Attorney at Law Trpenoski was organiser, lecturer, facilitator and participant at numerous seminars and training events organised by the Office of the Federal and by the Office of the Republic Prosecutor of the Republic of Macedonia, as well as by the Federal Court of the SFRY, in collaboration with many national institutions.
In November 2002, he was appointed member of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption by the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, with a mandate of four years; in 2004, he was elected President of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption, with a mandate of one year. As member of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption and in collaboration with numerous national institutions and international organisations, he participated in many seminars and training events as organiser, lecturer, facilitator and participant.
As a leader and delegate, he takes active part in the cooperation of the Republic of Macedonia with respective institutions from France, Italy, Romania, Croatia, Estonia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Albania in the area of deploying preventive measures for combating corruption.
His particular interests are Criminal Law and Protection of Human Rights. Due to his extensive experience and professional work, he is regarded as an outstanding expert in Criminal Law in the professional circles in the Republic of Macedonia.
He is currently retired, since May 2009, but he is still active in the public via many interviews for the local and national mediums, giving his professional opinion on the current political and legal situation in the Republic of Macedonia and the rest of the world.
